Hello !
This blog post is going to be the longest ever.
sorry, but i need to write this :)
First, this is a layout i did using prompts from 4 different challenges :
1. prompt #1 : Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday : WaterColors
2. prompt #2 : Stuck?! sketches : sketch
3. prompt #3 : Off the Rails Scrapbooking : Color Swatch
4. prompt #4 : Mixed Media Monthly Challenge #5 : Ribbons, Twine, & Fibers
here is my LO :
note : for prompt #1 : Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday : Watercolors : I used a water-colored patterned paper and did some water-coloring on the "D" and the big pennant on the top right corner.
Second, I would like to say thank-u to scrapbook(.com) for giving me a $10 prize for posting a layout in their gallery.
Awesome sauce !
I am one of those ppl who doesn't really win in contests, so this really made my day. :) :). I immediately went shopping.
this is what i used the $10 for :
I have to confess this is the first time i shopped there. wonderful store. I loved the follow-up e-mail they sent which listed few projects which i can make with the products i ordered. so unique. love it ! cannot wait for my stuff to arrive.
again big thank-u to scrapbook(.com) for this.
Lastly, my new found love - the Fiskars Tag punch.
I won't say its perfect but its cool.
what i loved about this : really makes tag making so simple & easy. and the tag size is pretty perfect.
what i didn't like about it : I cannot use small eyelets (which i have a zillion of ;)) for my tags. so i had to make the holes & set the small eyelets with another tool (the crop-a-dile obviously :)). but maybe one day when i run out of small eyelets i may want to attach big eyelets so this will come in handy. but can i see myself making gift tags without eyelets so this will make the whole process a lot simpler.
Also i am hoping designer - Teresa Collins comes out with a paper with tags printed which we can punch out & use (just like the ones she often does for using the circle punch). that would be fun :)
That's all for today.
Thank-u for all the love & thank-u for stopping by. :)
