Challenge : 2 in 1

Hello !
Here is a LO i made using prompts from 2 challenges

1. prompt #1 : Simon Says Stamp - Monday : Use a Stamp : used the Heidi Swapp - Wanderlust stamp and a leaves stamp

2. prompt #2 : Let's Capture Our Memories : Sketch #132  

here is my LO :

I used my Sep 2015 - counterfeit kit products and Echo Park - "I love Fall" mini-kit to create this layout.

The leaves on my LO i cut it from one of the papers in the fall kit using my Silhouette and the Pixscan Mat.
I loved the way it cut. I did have a few problems when i tried it first, but i found that if u place the paper somewhere in the middle of the mat leaving a nice white border around the paper it worked out very well. 

I also did some embossing on the stamped words and did some stitching around the leave stamp (something i learned in the Studio Calico - Toolbox class). really like texture stitching adds to the LO :)

here is my LO
I used my Sep 2015 - counterfeit kit products to create this layout.
 
This time i decided to create die-cut flowers with the papers in my kit (which i used my my LO). I used the Maggie Holmes - confetti die set to create my flowers. love love playing with this die. I also cut the leaves out of Tim Holtz - Wallflower vellum paper. here is how all my flowers turned out. so pretty :).

Here is a LO i made for using prompts from 2 challenges

1. prompt #1 : Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday : Die Crazy : used a little B dies for the small doily and to create a stencil for my banners on the LO. the dies r : Scallop, Birthday and Holiday

2. prompt #2 : ARTastic -  painting by William Knox called Arabian Scene - i was inspired by the open blue sky and used a blue paper as my background

I used cufiles from Wilna Furstenberg - Dream Flourishes. beautiful cut file, very delicate and lovely. very fun to use. also used a mix of Dear Lizzy and Maggie Holmes products. they work so well together. :). love it.

Also used my new favorite stencil "Shimmer" - by Memory Box. with the Heidi Swapp gold texture paste. so pretty. take a look at the stencil -isn't it gorgeous. :)

i am currently working on the Studio Calico - ToolBox class so i used a technique i learned in the class - created a stitching guide using a stamp. I also created a stencil using a cut-file included in the class and used it with blue paint. really fun class.

2. prompt #2 : Studio Challenges : Shaped Photos : i used square photos

3. prompt #3 : Mixed Media Monthly Challenge #16 : Photo inspiration : added round embellishments & did the stitching with a cream color thread.

Sep 2015 Counterfeit Kit Challenge

Here is my take on the "Sep 2015 Counterfeit Kit Challenge".

This month the inspiration kit is the 
Studio Calico : Aug 2015 Kit - Pop Art. 

Here is my collection.

This kit really had me stumped. lol. the colors and papers were so out there. :) Here r some of the things i included and made 

>> painted 2 of the papers to match the inspiration kit. The dotted paper i only did 1/2 cause i am not sure how it will look on the layout. :).

>> currently doing the Studio Calico - Toolbox class so included some class material since it went well with the colors. The stencil and the stitching template are also from the class.  I love Studio Calico classes, they give the best digital materials and they can be used in multiple projects. The stencil i cut using my silhouette machine.

>> cut the diamond shapes from pattered paper, used my Xyron sticker maker and the applied glossy accents on it. It looks really cool :).

>> made tags using patterned paper and the Fiskars Tag punch, also painted it with yellow gelato to match the color.

I had fun making the kit and am liking the end result. Hope I can make some nice layouts with it.
