Challenge : 2 in 1

Hello !
Here is a LO i made for using prompts from 2 challenges

1. prompt #1 : Simon Says Stamp - Monday : Tickets

2. prompt #2 : ARTastic - background - use stencils, gesso, paint, ink, texture etc.

here is my LO :

I used my Aug 2015 - counterfeit kit products to create this layout.

Other fun things i did :
>> made a 12x12 Kraft background using 8.5x11 paper by stitching them and cutting them to size.

>> used the Heidi Swapp - Texture paste - GOLD  to add my title using a negative die-cut of a alpha sheet and a few triangles using a Amy Tan - Rise and Shine stencil. love this stuff.

>> i finger-painted the lines on the background through a stencil with acrylic paint. so fun. Another thing i learned in the Studio Calico class - paint.plan.play. for the gold i used Golden - Iridescent Gold (Fine).  i love love this paint.

Here is a LO i made for using prompts from 4 challenges

2. prompt #2 : Scrap Our Stash : Challenge #29 - word PAPER
i used the following : P - Punch (border), A - Alpha letter, 
P - Pale Pink paint, E - Ephemera, R - Rhinestone

3. prompt #3 : Stuck?! sketches - August 1 2015 sketch

4. prompt #4 : CKC Challenge 2: Gift Wrap Challenge
used a kraft polka dot wrapping paper as inspiration

here is my LO :

I used my Aug 2015 - counterfeit Mini-kit to create this layout.

Also added some paint on the background paper - something i learned in the Studio Calico class - paint.plan.play. this is something i have never ever done. so i guess for my first attempt it looks cool. 
tip : when i finished the layout i thought that the yellow paint looks too bright so i sanded it off a little. its so cool that u can sand off paint off u'r paper :), like using an eraser. u just have to do it very lightly so that u don't scratch the paper off too.

and since the pics were fitness themed, i added some elements from a digital kit - Another Year Another Diet By Dawn Inskip. really fun kit.

Aug 2015 CKC

Hello !
Here is my take on the "Aug 2015 Counterfeit Kit Challenge".

This month the inspiration kit is the
Scrappy Canary : June 2015 Kit - Globe-Trotter .  

Here is my collection mini-kit.

my kit details :
1. Since i wanted a mini-kit, i added mostly 6x6 paper.
2. I die-cut some cork arrows using a Little B Arrows die
3. added gold & acetate from Heidi Swapp Project life Value kit  
4. I am currently doing a Studio Calico class - paint.plan.play so i added a few printables from the class as well, since it went well with the colors of the kit. (note : really fun and inspiring class and Ashley Goldberg is a fab teacher, she makes art fun, easy and stress-free.)

love how it all turned out. I know i am joining in really really late but i wanted to scrap :). Hope i get time to make atleast 2 layouts.
